This international standard is part of ISO 3856, Barvy a laky – Stanovení “rozpustný” obsah kovů.

1 Scope and domain of application
Tato část ISO 3856 describes a flameless atomic absorption spectrometry method for the determination of mercury content in test solutions, prepared in accordance with ISO 6713 or another appropriate international standard.

This method is suitable for paints with a “rozpustný” mercury content in the range of approximately 0,005 na 0,05 % (m/m), but the part of the method that covers the liquid portion of the paint to be examined is limited to water-diluted paints.
