ISO (Internationale Standardisierungsorganisation) ist eine globale Allianz nationaler Normungsgremien (ISO-Mitgliedsorganisationen). Die Entwicklung internationaler Standards erfolgt in der Regel durch technische Komitees der ISO. Jede Mitgliedsinstitution, die sich für ein Thema interessiert, zu dem ein Fachausschuss eingerichtet wurde, hat das Recht, im Ausschuss vertreten zu sein. An dieser Arbeit sind auch staatliche und nichtstaatliche internationale Organisationen beteiligt, die mit Standardisierungsorganisationen zusammenarbeiten. Fifth edition to cancel and replace the fourth edition (ISO 1514:2004), which is revised on technology, made the following changes:

Einführung
For many of the most widely used test methods for paints and varnish, the type of panel used and the particular way in which it is prepared for use can greatly affect the test results. 1 Umfang
This international standard specifies several types of standard panels and describes procedures for preparing them before painting. These standard panels are used for general test methods for paints, varnishes and related products (siehe Anhang B).
