1 Saklaw
This document specifies test methods for coating adhesion of sputtered silver coatings for electrical, elektroniko, optical, and other engineering applications. Engineering applications are defined as applications where the coating is essentially used for non-decorative purposes.

Although the appearance and suitability of sputtered silver coatings depend on the condition of the substrate, this document does not specify the condition, finish, or surface roughness of the substrate prior to deposition. It is therefore the buyer’s responsibility to specify the surface finish and roughness of the base material to meet the product requirements.

This document specifies test methods for coatings on sheets and flat objects. Gayunpaman, it does not apply to coatings on threads, strips or wires in non-manufactured forms.
