ISO (הארגון הבינלאומי לתקינה) היא ברית גלובלית של גופי תקינה לאומיים (גופים חברי ISO). פיתוח תקנים בינלאומיים מתבצע בדרך כלל באמצעות ועדות טכניות של ISO. כל מוסד חבר המעוניין בנושא בו הוקמה ועדה טכנית זכאי להיות מיוצג בוועדה. ארגונים בינלאומיים ממשלתיים ובלתי-ממשלתיים העוסקים בקשר עם ארגוני תקינה מעורבים אף הם בעבודה זו. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 (צבעים ולכות), ועדת המשנה SC 9 (General test methods for paints and discolorations), in cooperation with Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 (צבעים ולכות) of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), in accordance with the Technical Cooperation Agreement between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement).

The second edition cancels and replaces the technically revised first edition (ISO 8130-8:1994). Compared with the previous edition, the main changes are as follows:

— מאמר 6 adds pretreated aluminum plates as an alternative to test plates;

– שולחן 1 describes the degree of agglomeration of four different grades of paint powders that have been removed;

– The required supplementary information (original clause 4 and Annex A) has been incorporated into the test report;

— The text has been edited and revised, and normative references have been updated.

מבוא
Paint powders are subject to two different aging mechanisms, one involving the physical state of the powder and the other involving its chemical reactivity. Changes in the coating powder may lead to deterioration of the physical and chemical properties of the final coating.

This document describes the procedures to be adopted in assessing the tendency of thermoset paint powders to maintain their physical and chemical integrity after being subjected to prescribed storage conditions.

No correlation occurs between changes in different properties. Again, there may be no correlation between the results obtained under different storage conditions.

The program results in this document demonstrate the ability of paint powders to withstand the effects of storage prior to application.

This document establishes a method for estimating the storage stability of thermoset paint powders. It provides procedures for determining the physical state of thermoset coating powders and their chemical reactivity changes as well as their ability to form a satisfactory final coating.
