1.1 This standard specifies an accelerated method for determining the intergranular corrosion sensitivity of austenitic stainless steel. The method specified in the standard provides the same results as those obtained with ISO 3651-1 и ИСО 3651-2, but with a shorter test period for accelerated corrosion testing.

1.2 This standard applies to the testing of all kinds of metal production, including double rolled metal, welded joint, deposited metal and weld metal.

1.3 Two test methods are specified:

— Метод А: Corrosion test is carried out in copper sulfate and concentrated sulfuric acid solution in the presence of copper;

— Метода Б: Corrosion tests are carried out in copper sulfate, sulfuric acid and copper fluoride solutions in the presence of copper metal.
