This document describes the standard samples, exposures and assessments used to derive categories of indoor corrosivity.

With the current state of knowledge, determining corrosive erosion is the most reliable and often an economic way to assess corrosivity, taking into account all major local environmental impacts.

1 Сфера застосування
This document specifies methods for determining corrosion rates using standard metal samples in low corrosive indoor atmospheres. For this direct method of assessing corrosion, different sensitive methods can be applied using standard samples of the following metals: мідь, срібло, цинк, сталь, and lead. The values obtained from the measurements are used as a classification standard for determining indoor atmospheric corrosivity.
