ASTM D4262-18 Standard Test Method for Surface pH of Chemically Cleaned or Etched Concrete

Meaning and use

3.1 Chemical cleaning and etching are used to prepare coated concrete.

3.2 Residual chemicals that are not removed by water flushing may adversely affect the properties and adhesion of coatings applied to concrete surfaces. The purpose of this test method is to determine that residual chemicals have been removed by measuring the acidity or alkalinity of the final rinsed surface.
