Different tests should be performed to determine the following properties of the cyclohexane feedstock: benzene content, sulfur content, thiophene content, toluene plus methylcyclohexane content, methylcyclopentane content, n-hexane content, pickling color, appearance, color, water content and freezing point on an anhydrous basis.

Step 1: Scope

1.1 This specification includes benzene as a cyclohexane feedstock.

1.2 The following applies to all specified limits in this standard: In order to determine consistency with this standard, observed or calculated values should be “rounded” to “nearest unit” in the last right-handed digit used in the expression of the specification in accordance with the rounding method of Practice E29.

1.3 Values expressed in SI units shall be considered standard. The values given in parentheses are for reference only.
