The specification includes xylene for use as a p-xylene feedstock. The xylene of the paraxylene raw material shall meet the following requirements: minimum weight percentage of paraxylene, maximum weight percentage of ethylbenzene, maximum weight percentage of toluene, maximum weight percentage of C9 and higher boiling point aromatics, maximum weight percentage of non-aromatics, maximum weight percentage of nitrogen if desired, sulfur content, hitsura, chloride (kung gusto), color and distillation range.

1.1 This specification includes xylene as a p-xylene raw material. These xylene are usually extracted from the products of reforming.

1.2 The following applies to all specified limits in this specification: In order to determine consistency with this specification, the observed or calculated value shall beroundedto the nearest unit in the last right-handed digit used to represent the specification limit, following the rounding method of Practice E29.
