ISO (International Organization para sa Standardisasyon) ay isang pandaigdigang pederasyon ng mga pambansang pamantayan ng katawan (Mga katawan ng miyembro ng ISO). Ang pagbuo ng mga internasyonal na pamantayan ay karaniwang isinasagawa sa pamamagitan ng ISO teknikal na komite. The international standard ISO 8780-3 was developed by the ISO/TC 35 Technical Committee on Paints and Varnishes.

1 Saklaw ng Aplikasyon
Ang bahaging ito ng ISO 8780 specifies a method for dispersing pigments and increments using a high-speed impeller grinder. It is used in conjunction with the assessment methods described in ISO 8781, using an agreed adhesive system. It should be read together with ISO 8780-1.

Tala 1 A high-speed impeller mill can be used to completely or partially disperse the pigment as a preliminary to further dispersion using other equipment, such as a sander or bead mill or mill.

Due to high adhesive concentrations and/or high pigment concentrations resulting in high shear forces, this method is limited to moderately high viscosity abrasives. It is not intended to provide a method for formulating full-scale grinding base compositions (scaling up a process from laboratory equipment to a factory grinder is not simple).
