ISO (הארגון הבינלאומי לתקינה) היא ברית גלובלית של גופי תקינה לאומיים (גופים חברי ISO). פיתוח תקנים בינלאומיים מתבצע בדרך כלל באמצעות ועדות טכניות של ISO. כל מוסד חבר המעוניין בנושא בו הוקמה ועדה טכנית זכאי להיות מיוצג בוועדה. ארגונים בינלאומיים ממשלתיים ובלתי-ממשלתיים העוסקים בקשר עם ארגוני תקינה מעורבים אף הם בעבודה זו. ISO עובד בשיתוף פעולה הדוק עם הנציבות האלקטרוטכנית הבינלאומית (חברת החשמל) בכל הקשור לתקינה חשמלית.

This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 (צבעים ולכות), ועדת המשנה SC 9 (שיטות בדיקה כלליות לצבעים ולכות), in cooperation with the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 (צבעים ולכות), in accordance with the ISO/ CEN Technical Cooperation Agreement (Vienna Agreement).

The third edition eliminates and replaces the technically revised second edition (ISO 15528:2013) ו-ISO 8130-9:1992. Compared with the previous edition, the main changes are as follows:

— All information in ISO 8130-9 regarding the division of paint powder samples has been deleted;

Sampling depends on the size of the product and container, but not on the type of product, such as paints, לכות, paint powders, דבקים, pigments, fillers or solvents. ISO 1513 specifies procedures for the preliminary examination of individual samples received and for the preparation of test samples by mixing and reducing a series of samples representing a batch of paints, varnish or related products. Samples of the product to be tested have been collected in accordance with this document.

Correct sampling is the basis for subsequent tests and their results. Operators with the required knowledge and experience need to perform the various sampling procedures with great care. The general instructions in this document are intended to complement this knowledge and experience and apply to most situations. למרות זאת, some products may require special sampling precautions not provided in this document; לָכֵן, operators need to be particularly vigilant to pay attention to any abnormal characteristics exhibited by these products. 1 תְחוּם
The document specifies procedures for sampling paints and varnishes, including paint powders, and raw materials used in their manufacture. Such products include liquids and materials that are not chemically modified and can liquify when heated, as well as powders, granules and pastes. Samples may be taken from containers, such as cans, barrels, tanks, tank cars or ship tanks, or from barrels, sacks, large bags, silos or silo cars or conveyors.

This document does not address sample preparation for testing or reducing samples thus collected, which is covered in ISO 1513.
