מבוא
ISO (הארגון הבינלאומי לתקינה) היא פדרציה עולמית של גופי תקינה לאומיים (גופים חברי ISO). פיתוח תקנים בינלאומיים מתבצע בדרך כלל באמצעות ועדות טכניות של ISO. כל קבוצת חברים המעוניינת בנושא שלגביו הוקמה ועדה טכנית זכאית להיות מיוצג בוועדה. ארגונים בינלאומיים, ממשלות וארגונים לא-ממשלתיים בקשר עם ISO מעורבים גם הם בעבודה זו. ISO 591-1-2000 “Titanium dioxide pigments for coatings – חֵלֶק 1: מפרטים ושיטות בדיקה”

The international standard ISO 591-1 was developed by the Technical Committee ISO/TC 35, צבעים ולכות, Sub-Committee SC 2, Pigments and increments.
