ISO (Organizzazione internazionale per la standardizzazione) è un'alleanza globale di organismi di normalizzazione nazionali (Organismi membri dell'ISO). Lo sviluppo di standard internazionali viene solitamente effettuato attraverso i comitati tecnici ISO. 1 Scopo
The document specifies procedures for sampling paints and varnishes, including paint powders, and raw materials used in their manufacture. Such products include liquids and materials that are not chemically modified and can liquify when heated, as well as powders, granules and pastes. Samples may be taken from containers, such as cans, barrels, tanks, tank cars or ship tanks, or from barrels, sacks, large bags, silos or silo cars or conveyors.

This document does not address sample preparation for testing or reducing samples thus collected, which is covered in ISO 1513.

3 Termini e definizioni

A given quantity of material produced under uniform conditions
