1 Range
This document specifies a method for determining the particle size distribution of coated powder equivalent spheres by laser diffraction for particles ranging in size from 1 μm to 300 μм.

Pay attention to particle size &гт; 300 μm may require the use of different optical models.

This document focuses specifically on the measurement of coating powders and draws attention to ISO 13320, which provides guidance for instrument identification and particle size distribution.

Laser diffraction is not suitable for the determination of very large materials and can be verified by screening analysis as described in ISO 8130-1 or dynamic image analysis as described in ISO 13322-2.
