ИСО (Међународна организација за стандардизацију) је глобални савез националних тела за стандардизацију (Тела чланица ИСО). Развој међународних стандарда се обично спроводи преко ИСО техничких комитета. Свака институција чланица заинтересована за предмет за који је основан технички комитет има право да буде заступљена у тој комисији. Међународне владине и невладине организације које су у вези са ИСО такође су укључене у овај посао. The first edition of ISO 9117-3 eliminated and replaced the technically revised ISO 1517:1973. The main changes are as follows:

А) The method has been integrated into the ISO 9117 series as Part 3 for the determination of dryness of paints and varnishes;

б) the “Principles” clause has been added;

ц) The text of the supplementary information listed in the preceding statement has been integrated into the test report.

1 Range
Овај део ИСО-а 9117 specifies a test method for determining the surface drying characteristics of paint or varnish coatings dried by air action or chemical reactions of their components.

This method is not suitable for baked products.

The method can perform:

– As a “pass/fail” тест, assess compliance with specific requirements by determining the state of surface dryness after a specified time;

– By determining the surface drying status at appropriate intervals until the surface drying time is obtained.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1 Surface dry state
Determine the condition of the paint or varnish coated surface to determine if it is dry

3.2 Surface Drying
The state of paint or varnish coating when Palotini can be lightly brushed off without damaging the coated surface

3.3 Surface drying time
The time period between the application of a paint or varnish coating on the prepared test board and the assessment of the coating as only surface dry by the specified test procedure
