ASTM D 5145-2021 Non-volatile and Pigment Content of Electrophoretic Paints

Meaning and Purpose
4.1 Non-volatile content and pigment content are measures of total solids and inorganic pigment solids in electrophoretic paints, respectively. In addition to production quality control, these characteristics are also important for keeping the electrophoresis tank within better ranges.

4.2 Additional test methods for determining the non-volatile content of paints and paint related materials are described in Guide D2832.
