ASTM D2454-2018 Standard Practice for Determining the Effect of Overbaking on Organic Coatings

Meaning and Purpose
5.1 Most coatings are designed for specific baking times and temperatures. The stated baking time or temperature, or both, is often exceeded due to various reasons (production line downtime, rewiring through the oven, oven overheating, etc.). This practice has been found to be useful in assessing the effect of overbaking on the coating.
