ISO (Mezinárodní organizace pro normalizaci) je globální federací národních normalizačních orgánů (členy ISO). Vývoj mezinárodních norem se obvykle provádí prostřednictvím technických komisí ISO. Each member group interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on the Committee. Mezinárodní organizace, governments and non-governmental organizations in contact with ISO are also involved in this work. ISO úzce spolupracuje s Mezinárodní elektrotechnickou komisí (IEC) ve všech záležitostech elektrické normalizace.

Část 1 Směrnice ISO/IEC popisuje postupy použité pro vývoj tohoto dokumentu a pro další údržbu. In the electrodeposition coating process, foreign bodies used in the downstream production process pass through the electrodeposition coating tank. Jako výsledek, contamination of the electrodeposited coating tank material or defects of the coating surface may occur. Například, foreign objects may be oils, lepidla, insulation, and plastic building components.

ISO 22553-3 describes test methods for determining the compatibility of electrodeposited coating materials with reference oils that affect the properties of electrodeposited coatings.

1 Rozsah aplikace
The document specifies three different methods for contaminating liquid, vložit, and solid foreign bodies with electrodeposited coating materials.

It is suitable for electrodeposition coatings in the automotive industry and other general industrial applications, such as chiller, consumer goods, radiators, kosmonautika, zemědělství.

Conscious or unconscious contaminants are used in all downstream processes up to the baking of electrodeposited coatings

Examples: lepidla, insulating materials, drawing oils, anti-corrosion oils, pre-lubricants (special oils with drawing and anti-corrosion oil properties)
