It has been found that the test method can be used to distinguish the damage degree of coating on the substrate. It is useful to provide relative ratings for a range of coated plates that exhibit significant differences in damage.

5.2 In limited laboratory studies, it is not possible to obtain meaningful damage results when testing powder coatings. Scratches, or scratches, become increasingly imperceptible over time. Kaya nga, powder coatings may not be suitable for this test method.
