ASTM D2064-16 Standard Test Method for Printability of Architectural Coatings

משמעות ושימוש

5.1 The ability of the coating to resist printing is important because if the smoothness of the coating is changed through contact with another surface, especially a textured surface, its appearance will be adversely affected. Interior paint systems, especially gloss and semi-gloss on windowsills and other horizontal surfaces, often have objects such as flower POTS placed on them, which may tend to leave a lasting impression. This tendency of paint film “הַדפָּסָה” is a function of coating hardness, לַחַץ, טֶמפֶּרָטוּרָה, לחות, and the duration of the object’s contact with the painted surface.

ASTM D2064-16 Standard Test Method for Printability of Architectural Coatings

שלב 1: תְחוּם

1.1 The test method includes an accelerated procedure for evaluating printability of architectural coatings. It differs from the printed resistance test method D2091 in that the latter relates to finishes under packaging, transportation, and storage conditions, while this test method relates to decorative coatings that experience random field pressure contact.

הערה 1: Printing should not be confused with blocking, which is measured in test method D4946. The former involves the indentation of a surface, while the latter involves the bonding of two surfaces.

1.2 Values in inch-pounds shall be considered standard.
