1 Lingkup aplikasi
This document specifies the general properties of hot dip galvanized coatings and test methods for hot dip galvanized coatings applied by immersing steel products (including certain castings) in a zinc melt (containing no more than 2% of other metals). This document does not apply to:

A) continuous hot dip galvanized sheet, wire and braided or welded mesh products;

B) hot-dip galvanized pipes in automation equipment;

C) hot dip galvanized products (such as fasteners) for which specific standards exist and may include additional requirements or requirements different from those in this document.

Catatan: Individual product standards can be incorporated into this document by referring to the number of galvanized coatings, or they can be combined with product-specific modifications. Different requirements can also be made for galvanized coatings on products designed to meet specific regulatory requirements.
