ISO (Internationale Organisatie voor Standaardisatie) is de mondiale federatie van nationale normalisatie-instellingen (ISO-lidorganisaties). De ontwikkeling van internationale normen wordt doorgaans uitgevoerd via technische ISO-commissies. Elke ledengroep die geïnteresseerd is in een onderwerp waarover een technische commissie is opgericht, heeft het recht om in de commissie vertegenwoordigd te zijn. Internationale, gouvernementele en niet-gouvernementele organisaties die samenwerken met ISO zijn ook bij dit werk betrokken. ISO werkt nauw samen met de Internationale Elektrotechnische Commissie (IEC) over alle kwesties van elektrische standaardisatie.

1 Toepassingsgebied
This document specifies a method for determining titanium dioxide content in various types of paper and board, especially coated or filled products. It consists of two procedures for the final determination of titanium, one by spectrophotometry and the other by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The determination limit depends on the sample size (8.1).

Opmerking: This method is designed for the determination of titanium dioxide. Titanium in other forms, such as as a component of clay, does not interfere with the determination.
