4.1 This test method is used as a referee method and quality control. The media (oil) and the coloring pigment (pansea blue) used to prepare the dispersion are given, but other media and coloring pigments may be used. Any such change in the testing method needs to be agreed between the buyer and the seller.

4.2 The results obtained with pulverizers do not necessarily correspond to industrial situations where different dispersion conditions exist. in orice caz, dispersing with a grinder is a quick and relatively inexpensive way to test the coloring strength for routine quality control.
