Meaning and purpose
5.1 Dry paint is often in contact with itself, especially in the area of doors and Windows, and can sometimes stick to itself (block) depending on its hardness, pressure, temperature, humidity and length of time the surface has been in contact. This rigorous test method can be used to subjectively compare and evaluate the adhesion resistance of paints.

Scope of
1.1 This test method covers an accelerated procedure for assessing the face-to-face adhesion resistance of coatings for trade sales. Should not confused with D3003 adhesion resistance test method, this method involves the industrial coating on metal substrate block, also don’t be confused with D2793 test method, the method specifically involved in wood veneer and report the results on the basis of satisfactory or not, rather like the testing method by blocking tendency.
