מבוא
ISO (הארגון הבינלאומי לתקינה) היא פדרציה עולמית של גופי תקינה לאומיים (גופים חברי ISO). פיתוח תקנים בינלאומיים מתבצע בדרך כלל באמצעות ועדות טכניות של ISO. כל קבוצת חברים המעוניינת בנושא שלגביו הוקמה ועדה טכנית זכאית להיות מיוצג בוועדה. ארגונים בינלאומיים, ממשלות וארגונים לא-ממשלתיים בקשר עם ISO מעורבים גם הם בעבודה זו. החלק הזה של ISO 8502 describes field tests using special detection tubes to measure chloride ions.

With suitable surface sampling techniques, the test applies to steel surfaces before and after cleaning, as well as painted surfaces between coats.
