This document specifies different methods for calculating special indices that are commonly used to describe the brightness and inking of a sample, including chroma or hue within a color coordinate.

This document applies to tri-stimulus values and chrominance coordinates calculated using the color matching function of the CIE 1931 (2°) or CIE 1964 (10°) מערכת קולורימטרית סטנדרטית.
