Een voorwoord
ISO (Internationale Organisatie voor Standaardisatie) is een mondiale alliantie van nationale normalisatie-instellingen (ISO-lidorganisaties). De ontwikkeling van internationale normen wordt doorgaans uitgevoerd via technische ISO-commissies. Elke aangesloten instelling die geïnteresseerd is in een onderwerp waarover een technische commissie is opgericht, heeft het recht om in de commissie vertegenwoordigd te zijn. Gouvernementele en niet-gouvernementele internationale organisaties die contact onderhouden met standaardisatieorganisaties zijn ook bij dit werk betrokken. ISO werkt nauw samen met de Internationale Elektrotechnische Commissie (IEC) over alle kwesties van elektrische standaardisatie.

Internationale normen worden opgesteld volgens de regels gegeven in Deel 3 van de ISO/IEC-richtlijn.

Ontwerpen van internationale normen die door de Technische Commissie zijn aangenomen, zullen ter stemming onder de aangesloten organen worden verspreid. As members of the international standard release need at least 75% of the agency for approval.

This standard specifies the gravimetric method for determining conversion coating per unit area on metallic materials.

Method applicable to the

– phosphate coating on steel;

– Phosphate coating on zinc and cadmium;

– phosphate coating on aluminium and its alloys;

– Chromate coating on zinc and cadmium;

– the chromate coating on aluminium and its alloys.

The method is only applicable to conversion coatings that do not contain any complementary coatings such as oil, water or solvent-based polymers or waxes.
