1 Scope and domain of application
Овај део ИСО-а 3856 describes a flame atomic absorption spectrometry (ААС) method for the determination of total chromium content in liquid parts of paints, prepared in accordance with sub-clause 9.3 of ISO 6713 или другим одговарајућим међународним стандардима.

This method is suitable for coatings with total chromium content in the liquid portion in the range of approximately 0.05% до 5% (м/м).

Other methods may be used by agreement between interested parties, but this AAS method is the method of adjudication in the case of dispute.
