The electrodeposited coating material (e-coat) consists of a pigment paste and an adhesive. The test method determines the ratio of two components in the electrodeposited coating material.

When determining ash, there is always a certain percentage loss (burning loss), and then the pigment content is added. 所以, ash and pigment content cannot be equated. This is taken into account by product-specific correction factors.

The ratio of pigment to adhesive is a key characteristic that controls the electrophoresis tank.
