2. Working principle: Use a pendulum with known energy to strike the specimen supported into a horizontal beam, and the specimen is damaged by a single impact of the pendulum. The impact line is located in the center of the two supports, and the energy absorbed by the sample during the failure is determined by the energy difference between the pendulum before and after the impact. Then the impact strength is calculated according to the original cross-sectional area of the sample.
