Rockwell hardness tester in the use of the process encountered failure has how to solve

Rockwell hardness tester is suitable for metal Rockwell hardness test. This test method is characterized by measuring the indentation depth and reading the hardness value of the sample directly on the dial or digital display screen of the hardness tester, which is convenient, simple, rapid and high efficiency. Small indentation, small damage on the working surface of the parts, suitable for batch parts testing; Rockwell hardness test has a wide range.
Because the hardness tester is affected by external and internal factors in use, there will be various failures, then in the actual work in the future, only through specific fault analysis, and finally find a reasonable solution.
(1) Rockwell hardness tester should be installed on a solid foundation and adjusted to level. There should be no corrosive gas and no vibration source nearby.
(2) The load lever, lifting screw, buffer and measuring device of the hardness tester should operate normally and flexibly. Loading and unloading should be stable, without vibration or stuck phenomenon.
(3) Check the front and side of the workbench and fixtures to ensure that there is no damage or foreign objects. Electrical equipment should have a good grounding wire to prevent leakage and injury.
(4) Before the use of the hardness tester, the corresponding indenter should be selected according to the test requirements, and the indenter should be cleaned with acid-free gasoline and fixed in the main shaft bushing. When fixing, keep the indenter concentric with the spindle.
(5) The base and support surface of all working platforms should be clean and smooth, and there should be no pits, large scratches and foreign objects, the working platform should be firmly installed on the lead screw, there should be no shaking. Any observable depressions in the support surface will give inaccurate results for the thin material test.
(6) Check the diamond indenter every shift, observe the shape and surface of the indenter with a reading microscope (×20 times) to see whether there is dust, stolen goods, grease, oxide, cracking and sand holes and obviously do not match the change of the original shape of the indenter, if the above phenomenon should be stopped. If the indenter is a tungsten carbide steel ball, the surface of the ball should be polished without defects, and the protruding ball sleeve should not be less than one-third of the diameter of the ball.
